The premise here is that bigger is better, and though we don't personally agree with that, we concede that that's a common misconception. So what can a small business do to compete? Fake it. Give the illusion of bigger with 800 numbers, multiple email addresses, invest in a professionally designed website. And if you work in your pajamas out of your kitchen table? No one needs to know.

We know how it is, when you run your own business, there's never enough time in the day to do everything. Afterall, you may be the president and CEO, but very likely you're also the bookkeeper, the marketing guy, the salesperson and the janitor. So the workday doesn't end when the eight (or 10 or 12) hours are up. But a new study shows that you might be better off putting some tasks off until you get a good night's sleep. Even if you don't feel tired, lack of sleep hampers job performance.
